Breast augmentation
I recently had breast augmentation (aug 2010) at clinic beaucare and I am absolutley thrilled with the results.
I experienced vertually no pain, absolutely no complications and they had settled down within about 2
weeks!!
Everyone has commented on how fantastic they look, so much so that I think I must have given you
address to about 30 of my friends already!!! Please pass my thanks on to both Dr. Luc Vrambout and Dr.
Sara Ulens! I will deffinatly be back!!
Now the reason for my email- one fo my friends would like to book a consultation with Dr Luc Vrambout so
I was wondering if you have any appointments after the 27th of Jan as I promised to come with her and
I have medical exams until then!!
thanking you once again.
Hayley
I had my cosmetic surgery done in Belgium in October 2008.
I had to go alone as my husband had to look
after the children while I was away. I arrived the Thursday evening, as my consultation was booked for 10:00 the Friday morning,
after which I had my surgery done (I had breast augmentation). I travelled by Eurostar and also stayed in the Hotel Campanile
which is very basic and standard, but reasonably priced and the food is very good. My surgery took place at 13:00 that same
day as the consultation, and I was allowed to stay in the clinic until closing time at 19:00. I wanted to stay as long as
possible, as I had to travel back to the hotel alone and wanted to make sure I was feeling fine to do so.
The nurses and all the staff were exceptionally professional and helpful and arranged a taxi for me to take me to the hotel. I was very
stressed about the procedure and worried that I was unable to cope alone, but two full days of rest in the hotel proved to be sufficient!
I will recommend Clinic BeauCare to anyone, and hope that your experience is as pleasurable as mine was! They do really encourage breast
sizes that suit your frame and your build, which is really important in achieving a natural end result! I am ecstatic about my breast
enlargement and feel that they have done an amazing job who made me feel at ease and seemed to genuinely care for my well being!
Thanks again!

I have just returned from Clinic Beaucare,
after having liposculpture on my legs. This is my second trip to Belgium for
cosmetic surgery, my first being to another clinic. I was totally impressed with the clinic, the surgeon, and just how
attentive they were in recovery room. I would give this clinic 10 out of 5 if possible. And am already going back to
have another procedure in April. I stayed in the Campanile hotel by the station, which was also lovely, the
rooms were beautiful and clean and staff extremely helpful. For anyone who is considering Clinic BeauCare for
plastic surgery, i would say you can?t go wrong.

I had 6 areas of liposculpture at Clinic Beaucare
in Belgium on Monday 15th December, 2008. I travelled from Ebsfleet
to Brussels and 3 stops up on a connecting train was the hotel Campanile where I stayed ,1/2 mile from clinic Beaucare
where I had my cosmetic surgery!! All I can say is every part of my journey, surgery and stay were all extremely good
and I wouldn?t hesitate to go back or recommend to anyone. All the staff at Beaucare were so welcoming, calming and
nothing was too much trouble!! Everything went smoothly , my operation was at 9am and I returned to the hotel at 4pm
and travelled back the next morning on the Eurostar!! The hotel was so clean, staff helpful and friendly and ideal
for what I needed it for! The staff and surgeon at Clinic Beaucare are at the other end of the phone to answer any
questions you need to know and nothing is too much trouble.
xx
I would like to say that I am extremely happy with how the surgery
(I had breast enlargement) went and the overall
outcome. Also I appreciate the aftercare that you have provided me with talking to both myself and my GP. I will
definately be recommending your clinic Beaucare to friends who wish to have cosmetic surgery.
Many thanks
Kerry
I am 12 days post operative having been to the clinic
on Weds 5th march for full tummy tuck. Have to say up to now
my recovery has been great, I had the drains out.
I have been to my GP surgery today to have stitches removed.
I am pleased that the strips were used on my skin as hopefully there will be minimum scarring.
Can I say that I will highly recommend clinic BeauCare for plastic surgery, as so far so good with my operation and healing process .
Julie
First of all,
would you please be able to pass on my thanks to the surgeon who did my breast enlargement 2 weeks ago on the
17th June at clinic BeauCare. I am so happy so far with the results. I had my stitches taken out today and I?m
so happy with the way everything looks. The surgeon has done a wonderful job.. Thank you for your help.
Kayley
I am now nearly six weeks post op...
and I am so chuffed with my new arms (had arm lift at BeauCare).
My war wounds, as I call them, are still pink but I am using Bio Oil and they seem to be getting
much better. My healing, apart from a slight soft tissue infection, was fast so thanks to the tip
on your Forum which recommended Arnica.
My confidence has rocketed, my choice of clothes has changed to ones without sleeves and I look fabulous in my wedding dress.
I cannot thank you and the staff at Clinic BeauCare enough for giving me my confidence back and for helping me achieve my most
longed for wish in time for my dream wedding day.
A little bit about the surgery, and our stay at Hotel Campanile. Dr Ulens was brilliant, and a very skilled surgeon. The staff
at BeauCare were excellent, especially the post op nurses who were kind and attentive. A special mention to Helga, who
fielded many of my questions before the surgery, and who I met on the day. I would recommend Clinic BeauCare to anyone
for plastic surgery.
The hotel was great, very clean, reasonably priced ,very helpful, friendly and good food (if slightly pricy).
Thank you again
Erika
I came to your clinic on September 10th with my mother.
She had upper eyelid surgery and I had a breast
augmentation. Two weeks on we are both recovering well and so far very pleased with the results!
I would like to express on behalf of us both how pleased we were with the treatment we received at your clinic. Prior to our journey to
Brussels, we had quite a few telephone conversations and emails with yourselves, each time our questions were answered and you were
very polite. Upon our arrival, everyone was very friendly, professional and reassuring. I was particularly nervous, having never had
an anaesthetic before, but the surgeon and anaesthetist helped to calm my fears. We received good care after the surgery had taken
place until we left the clinic - in a taxi ordered by yourselves.
Since returning to the UK, many friends have asked if I would recommend clinic BeauCare for a cosmetic surgery
experience and
I have said yes every time!
Kind regards
Claire
I had cosmetic surgery 1 week ago..(breast augmentation).
I would like to write a testimonial about your clinic. I am
very pleased with my results, the care at your clinic and your staff. Also because you do not have any black women?s photos,
I would like you to use mine as it will help to promote other black women to use your clinic. I waited 18 years for this
breast operation and I?m so glad I made the choice of using clinic BeauCare. Please don?t hesitate to contact me at
any time.
yours truly grateful
Denise
I did a breast reduction at clinic BeauCare
... approx. 2 weeks ago and I just wanted to thank you for all. You
were all very nice and hospitable. Thanks to the surgeon. Until now I don?t have any problems and I recovered
very fast. My breast still looks a bit funny, but I feel me in my body much better, than before..
Kind regards,
Nadine
I had my breast uplift with a little reduction
on the 5th September 2008 12pm at Clinic Beaucare. I arrived home on the
09/09/08 about 6.30pm (used the Eurostar) and at work today (10/09/08) feeling a little tired and
very very little pain (not taking any pain killers as not needed).
Everything went to plan, everybody was fantastic, right now I am very impressed with the results and the service
I received at Clinic BeauCare.
I would recommend the Clinic to everybody for plastic surgery as the price, service and location is perfect.
Sandra
Regarding my plastic surgery (I had breast augmentation),
I don't have any questions to ask, my breasts are healing
very fast and I am so very pleased with the result indeed!!!!! I just want to thank all of you at Clinic BeauCare
and obviously in particular Doctor Ulens for the amazing job that he has done, which is just what I always dreamt
to have in my life.....I 'm so glad I came to your clinic...
Kindest regards,
Michela
Dear Clinic Beaucare
I just wanted to write a short email to thank everyone especially Dr Bosselaers for my new
boobs (I had breast augmentation, breast lift and upper eyelid correction). I am healing very well and have had
absolutely no problems whatsoever - in fact I am already doing light exercises back at the gym. I am also
pleased with the surgery on the upper eyelids too and am able to wear make up properly for the first time in years.
I have recommended Clinic BeauCare to all of my friends and will possibly be looking at coming back for another
cosmetic surgery later in the year myself.
Once again, thanks to the Clinic for a first class service.
Kind regards
Lisa
Firstly I would just like to thank everyone at Clinic Beaucare
for the excellent treatment I received on the
3rd of December 2008 when I had my breast augmentation and nipple lift. My breasts have healed amazingly well,
the scar around the nipple is already so well healed that it is not possible to see that I have had surgery
unless you look from about 10cm. I will not hesitate to recommend the clinic to anyone I know who wants to have
a cosmetic surgery procedure. If you would like post surgical photos in order to show other potential patients I
would be very happy to attend Harley Street so that the photos could be taken.
Once again, very many thanks for the excellent care and treatment I have had.
My name is Emma and I live in London.
I already consulted 2 plastic surgeons in London when I saw an advertisement of Clinic Beaucare in Elle. I was really desperate
for a breast augmentation, but I couldn?t afford a treatment in the UK. Therefore I went to see the surgeon of Clinic BeauCare.
The consultation was very professional and their fee was really affordable. I decided to have the operation at their Brussels
clinic and I still do not regret my decision!
The clinic is intimate, clean and their staff is very warm & friendly. I had a very nice stay at the clinic and the plastic
surgeon, Dr. Ulens, did a wonderful job! I had my breast augmentation 6 months ago and I can?t wait for summer to start.
Finally, after so many years, I am now looking forward to going to the beach, thanks to Clinic BeauCare!
My name is Jim and I?m from Birmingham.
During my college years I practised a lot of sports. Once I started working I did not have enough time left to visit the gym
anymore. Very soon my body started changing and it became noticeable (I became fat, especially in some areas). After thinking
about liposculpture for two years I contacted Clinic BeauCare, which I was told about during one of my trips to Belgium.
After the first consultation, which took place in London, I was convinced that this was the right clinic for me. The
surgery itself was done at their private clinic in Brussels, where I stayed for only two more days, which was
convenient for my job.
Now, almost a year later I have my old body back, I didn?t expect such an amazing result, but I?m sure you can
imagine how happy this makes me! I wish I hadn?t waited this long before I having the surgery.
I had a breast augmentation done at Clinic BeauCare in Brussels
and I?m very pleased with the whole procedure and the final
result! At first I was a bit sceptic about going abroad for this surgery but in hindsight I?m so happy that I
took this decision. The team was very warm & friendly and Dr. Bosselaers is a wonderful surgeon! I would
recommend Clinic BeauCare to everyone, who is looking for a professional treatment in an intimate atmosphere.
Kirstin.
My name is Catherine, 35 years old,
and I live in the north London area. After consulting 2 different plastic surgeons in the UK, I started looking for a surgeon abroad. Since I have 3 children under the
age of 5 I can not stay away from home for a long period of time ; therefore I chose ClinicBeaucare in Belgium to have my
abdominoplasty done. Of course I searched the internet on the credibility of this clinic and surgeons. It appeared that
Dr. Ulens is a very well known plastic surgeon and is registered at the GMC, which I deemed very important. Anyway,
I still do not regret my choice. I had my surgery done in December and cannot wait for summer to get here so that I
can show my ?new? tummy to everybody!
The clinic is small but very clean and cosy, the staff is very friendly and they all speak English very well. Before
going to the OR you have a last consultation with Dr. Bosselaers, who is such a nice man! I felt really comfortable.
After surgery we stayed in a hotel during 4 days. I had my drains removed before we took the Euro Star back to London.
The recovery took approximately 4 weeks but I felt better day by day. I?m so happy with the surgery and would recommend
Clinic BeauCare to every one! Thanks Clinic BeauCare! Regards, Elisabeth.
Hi, I?m Richard from Macclesfield,
I?m 47 and I am an airline pilot. I am pretty vain, but despite my good daily care I could no longer hide the traces of aging. I didn?t need a lot of time to convince myself to have a facelift . Then I saw an ad in ?Men?s Health? for a clinic in Belgium. I immediately contacted Clinic Beaucare and to my surprise they could meet me for a first consultation in their Manchester office, during which they recommended me a mini facelift instead of a full one. Recovery after the surgery is faster and is the procedure itself is cheaper. Going to Belgium for the surgery was no problem for me. After two days I went home and resumed work after three weeks. I received good remarks from my colleagues; they all thought I must have had a great holiday, since I looked ten years younger. I knew why. I want to thank the people of Clinic Beaucare for a job well done.
I have just returned from Belgium
where I had a breast reduction operation on Jan 7th 2011. This was performed by Dr Sarah Ulens. We stayed at Hotel Camponile which was clean but basic. The hotel's r restaurant was closed while we were there as they don't open when it's quiet which was not very helpful as my husband had to keep leaving me to go out looking for food outlets, not good. Breakfast is very basic and not worth 10 euros. When we arrived at the clinic at 8 am it was still dark and it looked like we had arrived at a building site which was off putting. There was rubble and building materials piled up and portacabins in the car park. When we went into the clinic it was very clean and staff were helpful. There was lots of hanging about. I met Dr Ulens and she drew on my body where she would be cutting. She answered all my questions and was very helpful and took photos for her records. She explained the operation in great detail and talked about sizing. Then I met the anesthetist who explained what would happen. I walked down to the op theatre and got very nervous and cried which they were lovely about, I did feel very scared at this point! After my 6hr op I came round sitting up in a chair with 2 drains in. I was given a pain killer injection and also injection to prevent blood clots and tramadol and paracetemol and went back to the hotel with my husband. I was in quite a bit of pain over next 3 days but mainly under my arms from the lipo more than from my boobs. When I returned on Monday morning they could not remove the drains as too much blood still coming out, they said my gp would do it when I came home. I rang my gp who flatly refused to do it as I had been abroad for the op. I then had to book into another hotel for the night and rebook my travel and return to the clinic on the tuesday for them to remove the drains. So check this with your uk gp before you go. After 2 wks I was booked in with the nurse at my GP to remove my stitches she refused as it was not done in the UK. luckily my doctor felt sorry for me as I was getting in a bit of a state by now and removed them for me on the quiet, so again check this before you go. I returned to work after 1 week. I t is now nearly 3 wks and I am still in some pain but ok. The only downside is no aftercare whatsoever. I though I might have had a courtesy email just to see how things were going but nothing. However I would still recommend this clinic and would return here for any future needs.
I went for my consultation in Harley street with Dr Vrambout.
He is the director of the company. You do not meet the surgeon Dr Vanzele on the day of the consultation. The consultation is very brief and Vrambout just answers any questons you have. I must admit this short consultation put me off as I was in there 5 minutes and he charged me £30. I?ve read this in other reviews so was sort of expecting it anyway. I decided to go ahead and book my otoplasty to sort out my hideous sticky out ears!!! I arrived at Clinic Beaucare on Tuesday 27th April ready for my otoplasty. After re scheduling from 22nd April due to Dr Vanzele being stuck abroad because of the volcano eruption, I was impressed at how quickly the clinic had managed to fit me in! The operation went ahead, a little behind schedule as the clinics organization was chaos due to trying to fit in lots of other patients, who had to be rescheduled because of the volcano situation. This caused a lot of anxiety for my very nervous self but understood that this wasn't the clinics fault and was certainly not a regular occurrence but merely due to the chaos of the volcano situation! The staff were very apologetic. I met with Dr Vanzele before the operation he was very friendly, but very matter of fact. He was very confident and managed to put me at ease! I had the operation under a local anesthetic which is most definitely not as bad as it sounds. Lots of people say the worst bits are the needles going in. I was expecting it to really hurt but didn?t really feel a thing, more like a little pinch. After a couple of minutes my ears were numb and Dr. Vanzele and the nurse started work. It was the weirdest sensation as all I could feel was pulling and tugging! They told me the best thing to do is try and relax, (easier said than done!!) this is what I didn?t do as I was very nervous! It was slightly uncomfortable but extremely painless! I was actually very surprised! The op took an hour. Half hour each ear! Afterwards Dr Vanzele wrapped a big, but very neat bandage around my head/ears and underneath my chin. He said if it didn?t go under my chin then it would just fall off! I must say the bandage did not move even slightly for 10 days. Although at first, i didn?t like it under my chin, a few days later i learnt to live with it. I left the clinic immediately after the op as i didn?t need to come round from any anesthetic or anything. They did invite me to rest but i felt fine. I went back to the hotel and dosed myself with paracetamol! This was the worst night ever as I was in a strange country, in a little pain and just wanted to go home to be in my own bed!! Please take your own paracetamol as the clinic didnt supply me with any!! (This is the only downfall, the aftercare is not the best. Dr Vanzele gave me his contact details so I was able to contact him if I need to. When I did email him 4 days post op, he replied within 20 minutes. The second time I emailed 9 days post op he didnt reply at all! This I wasn?t very impressed about as I was in a bit of pain and didn?t know whether to have the bandage removed a day early!!) The first night of the op I experienced a bit of pain in both ears, (my left ear more than the right) it was a little uncomfortable and the bandage didn?t help, I think the bandage puts a lot of pressure on the ears which causes pain. I had a bit of trouble sleeping as I wasn?t able to sleep on my sides and found it difficult to sleep on my back. I slept in the front room as I was only sleeping a couple of hours a night. I had to have the bandage and stitches removed on the tenth day at my local hospital but I went a day early as the bandage was causing me a bit of discomfort. When the bandage was removed, any discomfort I had went completely. My stitches were removed and my ears were perfect. They were quite pinned far back and looked a little pointy but relaxed after a week to a natural position. I was so pleased with them and would go through that a hundred times over to achieve such perfect results. I was now able to wear any hairstyle I wanted, was able to go swimming without having the fear of my huge sticky out ears poking out of my hair! I am completely over the moon and have boosted my confidence completely. The tips of my ears were numb for a few months after and now 6 months post op I am just gaining full feeling back in them. I would definitely recommend this clinic and my only downfall was the small amount of aftercare. Sorry for my long winded review. When I was researching otoplasty, there weren?t many reviews so thought it would be good for someone looking into otoplasty to benefit from my experience. Definitely go for it, it is well worth it! :-)
I had a full tummy tuck yesterday at Beaucare.
I am today sat in my hotel eating crisps. Went to clinic and saw the surgeon quite quickly he drew the line and explained everything. Next, I saw the anaesthatist he was informative and friendly. Went in and next thing woke up in recovery. All staff were very friendly. Was given a bag of fluid and some pain relief. About 1.5hrs passed and it was time to go home. Left clinic by taxi and returned to hotel. Make sure you take sufficient strong pain killers as was only given Ibroprufen and paracetemal and to be honest felt like i was dying when i got back to room. However slept ok and woke up this morning feeling alot better. Have to keep the drains in for a while. Overall was happy with surgery but felt after care was poor and post-surgery checks were non existant. Would recommend, however take someone sensible with you and lots of strong tablets. Well looking forward to seeing the results soon. Have been for a walk today which was more than i expected. Have stayed in hotel reccommended by clinic very good and friendly. Still quite sore but looks like it is very flat under the corset. Looking forward to seeing my new belly button.
I went to belgium last week
and had ma b.a. surgery performed by Dr Bosselaers at beaucare. Researched for months n couldnt find a bad review on this clinic and surgeon. Well i would recommend the clinic and surgeon to everyone looking to have surgery abroad. my experience went great no problems the surgeon and clinic staff are all friendly and very professional. The whole experience went well and recovery going great. (Breast augmentation)
I was a sturdy 36/38" waist when I realised that I had to stop.
A few months of diet and exercise helped but it
didn't shift the bulky fat bits. I did my research online and found the Clinic Beaucare was the best value for
money.
As some people have said below here, the Harley St consultation was very rushed and I didn't feel totally welcome. I was
quoted £2350 for flanks, lower and upper abdomen (including partial chest). I then realized this was worth the savings
and went ahead with it. I went to Brussels on the Eurostar and travelling to the clinic is very easy and most the
country speak English anyway! The clinic in Brussels was much nicer than the consultation room in Harley St, the
staff were friendly and answered my questions fully. I am now 1 day (yes one day) post op. I'm typing this from
an apartment in Brussels! I'm stiff and sore but it isn't the end of the world. I'm waiting for the swelling to
kick in properly but so far WOW I'm definitely thinner! 5 Liters of fat they took and I'm half a stone lighter
already! I left the recovery room about 25 minutes after I came around but I had been all wrapped up in a
lipopanty etc. There was a little bleeding which took me off guard but I was told this was normal! It subsided
within the hour. I must admit I haven't had a proper look at myself yet as they told me I had to wait 4 days
to have a full shower (so the sink will do for now!) I will have a look then. I've seen a few big bruises
but I know it?s going to be worth it! I decided to do this as a kick start into a new fitter self and
I think that the pain and hassle is all worth it! I was in a debate to use Elyzea, a neighboring clinic,
but in the end I decided rightly or wrongly to go with the Clinic Beaucare, but I can't flaw it at all! I
hope I've made someone's mind up with this review as it really is brilliant and the technology is state of the art. (Liposculture)
Hi, I had a large belly after being pregnant 3 times
and having a cesarean with my last child. I am 23. I had a lot of stretch marks on my lower belly an d i got really
depressed about it. i decided to take the plunge and get a tummy tuck. I phoned beaucare in London and had a
consultation in London. He told me the price there and then and booked me in, he also advised me to have lipo on my
hips to make it even, it cost me £3000.00. I booked the flights and the hotel Campoline, all in all it came to £3.500,
my husband came with me. So the big day came, caught the flight, booked in the hotel, the taxi cost about £10.00- got
to the hotel which was nice, and went to sleep. When i woke up, we caught a taxi to the surgery which was a 5 minute
drive- arrived there and paid the money at the reception in cash. I got undressed into a bath robe and the surgeon
came in and drew lots of lines on me, and answered any questions I had. The anesthetist then came round and double
checked everything. I waited an hour and then they called me in, my husband wasn?t allowed in and had 2 go back 2
the hotel. They started surgery at 9am- there was a lot of health professionals in the room, which made me feel at
ease, they put the anesthetic in my hand. I woke up from the anesthetic at 2pm. They sat me on a chair foir half an
hour then had a quick word with me about my drains and that it all went well. I got sent home in a taxi then! That
was scary as i had only had my op half hour ago! But it was cool- had to put the drains in a carrier bag. Got back to
the hotel and slept! It was time to go to the toilet, it was painful to walk. I stayed in the hotel for 3 days, had to
monitor my drainage levels. So had to go back at 9am after 3 days. She checked to make sure the drains were accurate
to my readings, and took the drains out, changed the dressing etc. time to go home! I caught a taxi back to the hotel
to get the luggage then caught a taxi to the airport. Walking through the airport was a nightmare, had to walk so
slow, and the airport was so long! But i done it in the end, and was so glad to get back. They provided a surgery
corset for me and had to wear it for 8 weeks. I went to my doctors once a week 2 make sure everything was ok, a lot
of the doctors over here and nurses couldn?t believe what a great job Beaucare had done, they said the scar was
almost perfect. For the pain to go, it took about 2 weeks. A year on now- my scar has faded and it is such a good
thin scar. Beaucare are brilliant, they give you an emergency surgeons number when you leave the hospital for
complications, but there wasn?t any. My tanning lady has also had a tummy tuck, and her scar isn?t as good as
mine and she had hers done in London. I was a size 16 before and had rolls of fat, I?m now a size 10, and as
flat as an ironing board, and my hips are brill- they have a nice natural curve to it. They done a great job on my
belly button too. Totally recommend them, honestly.
Charlotte.
I was a 34 A cup and had wanted a boob job for years.
Having not had any children my breasts where still pert but i just hated how tiny they were. I knew i couldn't afford the prices in the UK so i looked for surgeries in Brussels and Beaucare came up with the best reviews and great prices, so i arranged for a consultation. After a successful consultation i decided to book the op for the 22nd of September 2009. After the long drive from Hampshire over to Brussels i arrived at the Clinic with my parents, where i was made to feel comfortable by the receptionist and shorty after had a meeting with the anesthetist. After a while of a wait i was then taken downstairs and prepared for the op. A before photo was taken of my breasts and the lines were marked for the incision, i then went down for surgery. I woke up in the recovery room and was in a lot of pain, as i had the implants put behind the muscle i couldn?t move my arms very much and found it very hard to sit up. This pain lasted for around a week after the op but slowly started to subside into the second week. I now am a 34 F and have been in recovery for 6 months, i have suffered no problems, no stretch marks and would recommend Beaucare over and over again! (Breast augmentation)
I was nervous about having a labiaplasty procedure done...
but knew I could never enjoy making love properly until I did. I was recommended by a friend to visit Clinic Beaucare. She had breast implants and labiaplasty the year before and loved the results. I went to my initial consultation in Harley Street and found the doctor quite dismissive with little time for my questions, however my friend had had the same experience but said that the team in Brussels were lovely. I decided to go ahead and the staff in Brussels were great. I arrived and was made to feel at ease and the procedure was fast and painless! I opted to have only local anaesthetic, so was awake throughout and although it was a weird experience it was over quickly. I was in bearable pain for a couple of days afterwards and very swollen for a couple of weeks but just took it easy. My main problem was a mild infection in week 2 as my stitches didn't dissolve quickly and caused irritation, this did cause problems for 3 weeks with a couple of them becoming mildly infected but I took a course of antibiotics and was fine. A year on and I am absolutely delighted with the result. My love life is incredible and it was by far the best decision I made. It has changed my life. (Breast augmentation)
Done my BA in september,
me and hubby are so satisfied with the result. Planning to do my TT this year. I feel like Dr. Ulens and all the clinic personels are my bestfriends. I love them all. (Breast augmentation)
I was so worried and nervous about having my BA...
but my worries were all washed away as soon as i spoke to Dr Ulens she was so reasuring and caring i felt so at ease once we had discussed what i want ed and what i could expect and i feel she really listened to me and gave me the time i needed to ask questions and feel comfortable the morning before my operation! I would recommend this clinic to anyone who wants to travel abroad for cosmetic surgery to save money but still get quality results, I can honestly say that from start to finish including travelling to and from there was not one hiccup and it couldn?t have run smoother! Best thing i ever did for myself! :)
I travelled to Beaucare for treatment in late September 2009.
The procedure was a relatively simple one (nipple correction) and as such I was able to travel there and back in the same day. Although i t was a long day in hindsight, I didn't particularly want to stay overnight and just made sure I allowed plenty of time for the return journey home. I found Beaucare via a Google search and admittedly, in the first instance, I was slightly suspicious because the prices were so low! Compared to surgery in London, where I was quoted prices of £2,500, Beaucare's fees were over two thirds less. I believe this is in part because they do not keep you in the clinic overnight, but for my procedure they do not offer an overnight stay in London either. Also, although it was only minor surgery, other London clinics wanted to perform the correction under general anesthetic and I much preferred the option of a local. In London, I met Dr. Vrambout who was very professional. Beaucare use rooms at 10, Harley Street, which are also used by a number of different cosmetic surgeons for consultations and so, in all honesty, it can feel like a bit of a cattle call in the waiting room. I had been here before and so knew what to expect. In truth, I did not feel that Dr. Vrambout spent a particularly long time with me or talked at great length about the procedure but actually this suited me fine because I had thought about what I wanted for many years, had considered the various options and was determined to go ahead. In earlier consultations, I found that the doctors would quiz me about the realities of breastfeeding after correction and on one occasion even made me feel quite guilty about giving up that option in favor of correction. I suppose they are only doing their job but I had thought about this for so long that I didn't need to hear any more negatives. I just wanted someone to be positive and say, 'yes we can do this it won't be a problem!' This positive attitude was embraced by Dr. Vambrout and his entire staff. The clinic itself feels rather like a contemporary spa - with fluffy dressing gowns and slippers and a recovery room facing a luscious garden. When I joked with Dr. Ulens about whether he could do a bikini wax while he was at it, he said, "Impossible, that I do not do!" (For the avoidance of doubt, this is not to say that Dr. Ulens is too relaxed - it is just in my nature to try and make light of tense situations! And I was very nervous beforehand!) And therein lies the ethos at the heart of Beaucare, this friendly, warm and reassuring atmosphere that seems to come so naturally to the staff at the clinic. I understand that Dr. Ulens is a highly esteemed surgeon both in Belgium and internationally but there is no trace of the arrogance or ego that I have found in talking to other cosmetic surgeons. Dr. Ulens is gentle, friendly and compassionate - and yes, absolutely confident. My only negative experience was a case of the shakes after my surgery: a result of getting up so early and then not eating very much at all due to nerves. My advice would be to carb load so that you don't have an overwhelming sugar low as I did! At the end of the day, you are bound to be nervous - you have taken a big decision with your body - and after all it is the only one you have. But all I can say to this end is that I really do believe that Beaucare is an excellent choice. I have just had my stitches removed after two weeks and I am delighted with the results. It is a shame I'm happy with everything else otherwise I would definitely go back. Highly recommended!
I had a tummy tuck on 14th July,
now two weeks later I have just had the stitches removed and feel really great! I travelled on the Eurostar from St Pancras to Brussels and went straight to the clinic for my surgery, having previously had a consultation with the surgeon in London. All of the staff were friendly and professional and I felt well looked after. When I came round after the operation I was initially in quite a lot of pain, so the nurse called the anaesthetist who gave me some stronger pain killers. I returned to the Campanile hotel by taxi about 6 hours after treatment as I wanted to try and sleep, and after taking some more pain killers and sleeping for two hours I woke up feeling much better. I spent two days resting and recovering at the hotel - the staff were wonderful , very kind and considerate. I returned to the clinic on the third day and as my two wound drains were only collecting minimal fluid, they removed them for me, redressed the wounds and I travelled home to the UK in the afternoon. I returned to work 10 days later and have just taken it easy, and now that the stitches are out and I can see the results more clearly, I am really pleased : my tummy is very flat and firm and I certainly feel the result was worth the effort and cost. I felt that the main disadvantage when deciding where to book the surgery was having to travel to Brussels from the UK, however the clinic staff were so well organised and informative that this part was actually made very easy for me. Certainly the high quality of the treatment, plus the relatively low cost compared to the UK, means that several of my friends are now considering booking treatment here!
I had lipo 6 weeks ago...
and it is the best thing i've done, money very well spent. I had my inside/outside thighs, bum and love handles done and I look amazing. Before having it done I read lots of re views, people saying they returned to work after 4 days etc, I was not expecting the pain and recovery to be so bad, 2 weeks was more realistic, I would also recommend having iron tablets ready to take. I travelled with my husband on the Eurostar from London, this was £60 each return, we got the train from Brussels Central to Vilvoorde which was 3 stops then walked to the hotel which was next to the station, we walked to the clinic in the morning which took about 20mins (taxi would have been 10euro). I didn't want to spend another night in the hotel as we were trying to keep costs down and another night would have been £130 so I returned to London the same night. Sitting didn't hurt much but getting down/up was very painful and walking also hurt. I was a size 16 and very pear shaped 6weeks ago, I am now a size 12 and in proportion, for the first time in my life I am looking forward to summer, no more covering up in big baggy clothes, I don't leave shops in tears depressed that nothing looks good, I LOVE my new body!!
I had breast augmnetation done at beau care clinic...
on 31st March 2009. I had considered several clinics but chose this one due to the excellent reviews it had been given on this site and I was able t o get my consultation done in Brussels prior to my op rather than having to travel to Manchester beforehand as required by other clinics The only thing that went wrong was that I had not realised that there were two airports in Brussels and I had flown in to Charleroi not realising that the clinic and the Thon Hotel that I had booked into were in fact two and a half hours away next to Brussels International airport!!! Apart from this minor mishap ha! ha! I found the whole trip went better than expected. I arrived at the clinic at 2pm the next day and had my consultation with Dr. Vanzele who was extremely friendly and reassuring. He explained what I should expect after the op especially about the level of pain I would be in which I appreciated as it would have come as a shock had he kept this from me. He asked me what size I wanted to go and when I asked if he thought I should go from 34a to a C or D cup, he assured me that a C cup or 390cc would be perfect as any bigger would look obvious that I had had surgery done. I am so glad I took his advice as I did not want to look like "Jordan" and my breasts are indeed very natural looking and fit in perfectly with the rest of my body. The nurses were all lovely with perfect english and after speaking to the anesthetist, I was taken into the operating room and they spoke to me in a calming manner stating that I would soon be sleeping which indeed I was. I woke up in the recovery room feeling very groggy and in quite a bit of pain. The nurses continued monitoring me giving me pain relief and anti-sickness medication when required as I did not realise that when they started to elevate my bed to an upright position that I would feel sick. I was assured this was normal and felt at ease with what was happening. My husband was allowed to sit with me as soon as I woke up from the op and I stayed in the clinic for another three hours to ensure I was well enough to go back to the hotel. They phoned the taxi company they use regularly as they stated that they were used to taking patients home and would drive very carefully. This indeed was the case and I can't thank the driver enough for his patience and attention given to me throughout the journey - he knew what roads to use that did not have lots of pots holes as any bump on the road caused a lot of pain. The first night was horrendous with the pain and we flew home the next day after having to travel back another two and a half hours to our airport. Dr. Vanzele told me the first 4-5 days would be very painful but this would ease and this was the case. I took regular ibuprofen and paracetamol to try and control the pain and enjoyed being spoilt by my husband and children. It is now two weeks since my op and I had my stitches removed today at my local clinic. The nurse stated that the surgeon had made a lovely job of my sutures and that the scar was perfect ! My breasts are already looking good and not nearly as swollen as they were. They are still hard and painful but a whole lot better than they were. I can't wait to take the surgical bra of as it is not the most attractive and as it is black I have to be careful what I am wearing. This is the first time I have looked forward to the summer so I can show off my new breasts instead of having to wear padded bras of chicken fillets! Thank you Beaucare clinic for all you have done for me!!!
I travelled to Brussels by Eurostar on 18th Jan 2009...
for my surgery by Dr Vanzele on 19th. I had already had a consultation in London. My husband came with me and we stayed at the Hotel Camponile, which was perfectly comfortable, clean and food excellent with friendly helpful staff. I have lost a lot of weight and needed extensive work done! I was concerned about being a little too old for the amount of surgery I was to have but Dr Vanzele was very reassuring and put me at ease straight away. I arrived at the clinic at 7.30am as requested, was asked to take my clothes off and put on a fluffy robe and slippers. Dr Vanzele saw me right away and explained to me and my husband exactly what he was going to do. He drew all over me and took pictures. I then saw the anesthetist who checked my medical records. He told my husband not to come back until after 4pm and then asked me to follow him through to theatre. I did not feel at all nervous as I felt I was in good hands. I came into the recovery room at just after 4 pm so it was about 7 hours in theatre. I was placed in a reclining chair and covered with a warm electric blanket. I also had a drip and was wearing a tummy girdle and had dressing on my upper arms. A nurse came regularly to check me. My husband was sitting next to me and I was able to drift in and out of sleep. I had no pain. At 6.30pm my husband suggested he got me dressed and we go back to the hotel - the nurse gave me a plastic bag to carry my two drains in and called us a taxi. The taxi driver was very careful and helpful as my husband got me in and out of the car! The clinic gave us an emergency contact number and pain killers and written advice as to what to do/not do and an appointment was made for me to go back on Friday to have the drains removed. I had to go back on the Wednesday as one of the drains wasn't working but Dr Vanzele saw me and said it was not a problem. He checked everything, the nurse changed the dressings and we went back to the hotel. We went back on Friday to have the drains removed by the nurse who was pleased with everything and then we had a taxi from the clinic to the Eurostar terminal for the journey home. I would recommend leaving yourself plenty of time at the station as to walk a distance is difficult and in the end I had a wheelchair to take me to the train as I was quite exhausted. I am now 7 weeks post op, back at work and feeling great. I still have some swelling on tummy but this is fluid and is gradually going. My arms are fab, no flapping anymore and for the first time in my life I will be able to wear short sleeves. My own GP here at home says she has not seen scars cut so well - and they are already begining to go pale. I am thrilled and would certainly recommend the clinic and go back if I needed anything else done. I did not take any of the pain killers they gave me, all I took was Annadins as the arms stung a bit. No pain from tummy tuck or lipo at all. Think I would have preferred to have been able to stay in overnight as I was a bit apprehensive at the hotel but I believe Belgium law does not allow this.
The staff are efficient but friendly and helpful.
Not much hand holding was done, but then I didn't ask for it. My only concern was that my blood pressure was not checked before or after surgery. I was uncomfortable afterwards and bled quite a lot. I would recommend having someone with you, a couple of changes of clothes and slip on shoes. I bruise easily but was able to cover this up and the body and leg stocking with winter clothes. I contacted the hospital and they were excellent and called me a couple of days later to make sure everything was ok. Pleased with the results so far and would recommend this hospital. (Liposculpture)
I had a breast augmentation on 30/01/09...
and i must say that i am extremely happy with the results. The first few days after surgery was painful as i was told before my operation, but after the 3rd d ay i was a lot better. I am very very happy with the result and would definately go back again if i decide to do more surgery. A lady who works there called Helga was very helpful and i did not have to wait long after i arrived to have the surgery done.
I had 6 areas of lipo at Beaucare in Belgium...
on Monday 15th December, 2008, I travelled from Ebsfleet to Brussels and 3 stops up on a connecting train was the hotel Campanille where I stayed ,1/2 mile from Beaucare where I had my op!! All I can say is every part of my journey, surgery and stay were all extremely good and I wouldn?t hesitate to go back or recommend to anyone. All the staff at beaucare were so welcoming , calming and nothing was too much trouble!! Everything went smoothly , my op was at 9am and I returned to the hotel at 4pm and travelled back the next morning on the Eurostar!! The hotel was so clean, staff helpful and friendly and ideal for what I needed it for! The staff and surgeon at Beaucare are at the other end of the phone to answer any questions you need to know and nothing is too much trouble!
I have just returned from clinic Beaucare,
after having liposuction on my legs. This is my second trip to Belgium for cosmetic surgery, my first being to another clinic. I was totally impressed with the clinic, the surgeon, and just how attentive they were in recovery room. I would give this clinic 10 out of 5 if possible. And I?m already going back to have another procedure in April. I stayed in the Campanille hotel by the station, which was also lovely, the rooms were beautiful and clean and staff extremely helpful. For anyone who is considering this clinic, i would say you can?t go wrong.
I had my surgery done in Belgium in October 2008.
I had to go alone as my husband had to look after the children whilst I was away and I have no immediate family who was able to go with me. I arrived the Thursday evening, as my consultation was booked for 10:00 the Friday morning, after which I had my surgery done. As I didn't have a consultation in London, I was constantly on the phone to them, or emailing them questions and concerns. They were ever so helpful and understanding and made this journey so much easier for me. I travelled by Eurostar and also stayed in the Hotel Campanille which is very basic and standard, but reasonably priced and the food is very good. My surgery took place at 13:00 that same day as the consultation, and I was allowed to stay in the clinic until closing time at 19:00. I wanted to stay as long as possible, as I had to travel back to the hotel alone and wanted to make sure I was feeling fine to do so. The nurses and all the staff were exceptionally professional and helpful and arranged a taxi for me to take me to the hotel. The taxi driver was very compassionate and lovely and helped me to carry my bag to the door. I received a text message from Dr Vrambout as I travelled back to London on the Sunday, which was both very encouraging and thoughtful. I was a bit unsure as to what I should pack for the clinic, but all questions were welcomed and answered promptly. I was very stressed about the procedure and worried that I was unable to cope alone, but two full days of rest in the hotel proved to be sufficient! I will recommend this clinic to anyone, and hope that your experience is as pleasurable as mine was. Minutes before the surgery, I was encouraged to opt for a C cup as I didn't want to go too large - and I am SO HAPPY I did! They do really encourage breast sizes that suit your frame and your build, which is really important in achieving a natural end result! I am ecstatic about my breasts and feel that they have done an amazing job! I would like to thank Dr Vrambout in particular who made me feel at ease and seemed to genuinely care for my wellbeing! Thanks again!
I had breast augmentation in February 2008...
at Clinic Beaucare in Belgium. I had been researching this clinic and another clinic in Belgium for about 12 months before I decided, and boy was I glad I chose Beaucare. I went for my first appointment in Manchester and met one of the consultants, a very nice and pleasant man Dr. Vrambout, he answered all of my questions and I felt at ease with him. After this meeting I had no hesitation in wanting my surgery done by this clinic and its surgeon Dr. Ulens. I had researched Dr. Ulens's medical past and present, checked her qualifications etc and I was very pleased with the outcome. I booked a hotel in Belgium the Campanile ,very close to the airport and which was also close to the clinic, about 10 minutes in a taxi and not expensive. I had my surgery done on the Friday and I came home on the Monday and the great thing was I was allowed to fly home, which was great, it only takes about half an hour from Manchester, which is where I am from. The clinic is spotlessly clean, the staff are fantastic, surgeon and anesthetist were very nice. Could not fault anything, even the clinic itself is like a big house and very warm and friendly. To pay for my surgery I took English money with me to pay for it which they accept gladly, saves changing and paying that extra couple of quid to change it. I am 4 month post-op and I am ecstatically pleased with the outcome of the surgery. If you do everything that they say and suggest you will have no problem. I would recommend this clinic to everyone without a doubt.
