Buttock augmentation: postoperative care

After the buttock augmentation you can go home the same day. The buttocks will be swollen and extravasations may occur. You may also experience a tense feeling because the skin must adjust to the new size of the buttocks.
During the first weeks after the buttock enlargement you are advised to wear a kind of supportive underpants (pressure bandage) day and night.
It is also important not to put strain on the buttocks during the first six weeks after the buttock enlargement. You should avoid sleeping on your back, driving a car, bending over, lifting things or playing sports but you should sit up straight.
