Tumescent liposuction
Tumescent liposuction literally means sucking (suction) away fat (lipo). The tumescent liposuction is considered a precursor of liposculpture .
‘Tumescent liposuction’ and ‘liposculpture’ are used synonymously. In actual fact, bigger “suction tubes” are used during a tumescent liposuction to reach the deeper situated fat. Often other tissue, apart from the fat cells, was removed in the suction process. This is the reason for the new, advanced techniques to remove the fat more efficient during liposculpture .
