A breast reduction is done under full anaesthetic and lasts about 2 to 3 hours. You may leave the clinic the same day.

A firm support bra is used for a month after the breast reduction to provide extra support. This special support bra is fitted straight after the operation.
Sport and strenuous activities are not recommended in the first weeks after the breast reduction. Most patients return to work after ten days.
